This is what the political book has turned into:
probably simply called "Existential History"
here are the early notes:
Romulus and remus
Black Plague Survival
Romulus and remus
Ideal of antiquity
LIve honorable life, and die fortunate death. Shown in Herodotus
live out your role, if you're lucky to be born male and free, talent
can help you achieve some things.
What they love: Victory
Ideal: Bad things are caused by devil. Do the sacraments, play the role you were born with and escape the horror of living, go to heaven.
What they love: peace and food.
Black Plague, Ottoman influence, until Renaissance
Ideal: Survival any means necessary
the plague caused talent to resurface
What they love: survival, power as an outgrowth, because power meant survival
eventually realizing that survival meant resources and societal happiness
Laws: a local kings psychology make up
Ideal: science, to achieve a house with modern conveniences. To express individuality
What they love: Rebirth of antiquity brings love of victory and individuality and cherishing the art of war, Remains of Christianity brings charity and the repulsion over senseless death, the black plague brings with it man's will to survive shown through medicine and modern conveniences like indoor heating, air conditioning, refrigerators, the use of oil and coal. Eventually turns into an obsession of luxury.
Romulus and Remus
Cherish Art of war
but got mixed with Numa Pompilius 40 years of peace
Ancients revered honor not charity
Cyrus The great not only famous for his diplomacy skills
But for the advent of Resource wars
Resource wars def: a war for resources, in the belief that natural resources
Are a nation's greatest wealth, that a wealthy nation is happier nation.
End of pirate wars: Wars fought for loot. Wars fought by tribes or nobles
to benefit only the individuals involved
Scipio Africanus takes Carthage gets North African grain
Africanus carried the Cyropaedia with him everywhere
Goth pirate wars. They looted for loot not for resource.
Jesus and Jewish texts rationalized ownership world
A lack of individuality, lack of science because God made world, everything explained.
Charity more important than science
Suffering is acceptable because of Christ
Upper classes and church abandon people
people gain freedom
destroys faith in upper classes and church
british revolution of late 1300s
land rights established
the yeoman created
Ottoman shows up in Europe
and reveals concept of resource war
Rebirth of antiquity
Birth of existential era
Shown in pascal and Shakespeare
Culminating in being and nothingness
Brings with it rebirth of Romulus and Remus zeitgeist
The resource wars begin again, Spain, Portugal, and colonization
Romulus and remus, Jesus and a new one added
the issac newton zeitgeist is added
clusterfuck of zeitgeists
Romulus and Remus
Man thinks he can wage war for resources
man believes in individual honor again
Success is to be rich and powerful
Liberals not Protestant Christians uphold
as,"Kindness makes for a better life than
Protestants and Catholics take on Romulus and Remus myth and only use
Jesus myth to attract followers.
Charity still remains in both in fragments, but the religions have no motivating power
Over people anymore.
Industry and the luxury become their gods. An example of the Newton myth.
Science and fossil fuels can save us
This clusterfuck creates a contradiction
found in Cicero's Commonwealth
man cannot be kind and honorable
and at the same time be rich and powerful
to be rich and powerful not only means
one is lacking of charity and also using resources
at an unnatural rate.
