ROBOT MELON

GO TO IT

LOOKS GOOD

WE ARE TAKING OVER THE LITERARY WORLD

Wenclas has been booted from The Underground Literary Alliance.

McSweeneys is "so 90s."

What would Wenclas say right now, "We are going to be Jesus and kill everyone!"

Tao Lin has been pardoned by Gawker.

Tao Lin on his blog today wrote that he doesn't hate or dislike anyone. I would like to say there are definitely people I hate. There is no one in the literary world I hate enough that I get the desire to blow them up or shoot them in the face with a shotgun. I just won't purchase their writing and will avoid them at all costs. But there is a bitch I work with that reminds of my mother who I would love to punch her in the face. I'm not sure if that is exactly hate, I don't dwell on her, but when she speaks, I get the urge to punch her in the face, which I think implies hate. I don't think there is any real definition for the word hate. Hate, love, caring, are things that are implied from acts. Like caring about poor people in Africa, I can't really care about them, I don't know them, I could read a book about it or listen to a song about it, and get choked up. But probably the devices in the story or song that got me choked are American devices, commonly used artistic devices proven over time that if you use these devices in a story or song it will cause the person to choke up. So am i responding to the actual content or the common stimulants, the devices I have been conditioned to respond in a certain way ever since I was little watching cartoons on Saturday morning. Maybe you can care about Africans, maybe it is possible, maybe when you donate money to poor Africans or starving somebodies somewhere, that means or implies "like" or "caring" or "love." But what about this during the 90s millions of Iraqis starved because of U.S. Sanctions, but there were no songs about it, no books by renown authors, so no one cared, so can someone still care about a certain starving people, if other starving people aren't cared about, which means you only care about certain starving people if a good plot line or guitar riff is used?

Is the woman at work whom you hate the same woman you wrote about before who enjoys firing people? Is she an "obese narcissist"? Can you tell us more about her? For some reason I'm intrigued by this woman and what she has done to incur your wrath.
